Jane Wells Harrison
Jane Wells Harrison was born in Kinston, North Carolina and received a B.S. from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She received her MFA in painting and drawing from East Carolina University, conducting her thesis research using the medium of encaustic. She had additional study at the Vermont Studio Center and Penland School of Crafts. Her work has been shown nationally and internationally. In 2007 she began working with old tin, making work using cold connections. Her metal work reveals a delight in surprise juxtapositions, strong design, and emphasis on color use which is also evident in her two dimensional artwork.

Jane is the Director of the Visual Arts Program for Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute. She lives in Happy Valley, near Lenoir North Carolina.
